Mechanical contracting and equipment installation

Machinery has to be moved, set, aligned, connected and commissioned before it makes anything. That is the part we do.

Overview

Mechanical Contracting

We install, relocate and repair industrial equipment: compressors, pumps, tanks and vessels, conveyors, gearboxes, dust collection and production machinery. Rigging, setting, mechanical connection and commissioning are all in scope.

Plant relocations and line moves are where having one contractor matters most. Disconnecting, moving, resetting and re-piping a line involves too many handoffs when it is split between three vendors.

What we handle

  • Equipment installation. Setting, levelling, anchoring, baseplates and isolation.
  • Rigging and machinery moving. Cranes, telehandlers, forklifts and skates for equipment up to heavy vessel scale.
  • Plant relocations. Disconnect, move, reset and reconnect production lines and support equipment.
  • Mechanical repair. Pumps, gearboxes, drives, couplings, bearings and conveyor components.
  • Fabrication. Welding, cutting and structural steel work in support of installations.
  • Coordination. Working alongside your electrical, controls and facilities trades to close out the whole job.

Rigging

Getting it in the door is half the job

Access is usually the hard constraint: a doorway, a roof height, a floor loading limit or a machine that has to travel past equipment that cannot be moved.

We plan the lift and the route before anything is picked, and we bring the equipment the pick calls for.

Fabrication

Steel work that supports the install

Installations rarely fit the space exactly as drawn. Stands, frames, supports, guarding, platforms and brackets get fabricated as part of the job, so the equipment ends up properly supported.

When it fails at 2am, you still get a technician

Breakdowns do not respect business hours. Our emergency line runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You reach someone who can diagnose the problem and dispatch a technician.

Questions

About mechanical contracting

Do you do plant relocations?

Yes. Disconnecting, moving, resetting and reconnecting equipment, including the compressed air and process piping that supports it. Having one contractor across the whole scope removes most of the coordination risk.

Can you work around our production schedule?

Most of our installation work happens on weekends, night shifts or planned shutdowns. We plan the sequence so that the disruptive portion fits the window you have.

What size equipment can you handle?

From small pumps and skids up to large tanks and vessels requiring crane work. If a lift is outside what we can safely handle, we will say so and bring in a rigging partner who can.

Do you handle the electrical connections?

We cover the mechanical scope and coordinate the electrical work with your electrician or a licensed electrical contractor we bring in. You still deal with one point of contact.

One vendor

Other services

Most of our customers started with one of these and consolidated the rest. Fewer vendors, fewer handoffs, one number when something breaks.
