Service

Air compressor service, repair and installation

Compressed air is the utility nobody notices until it stops. We keep rotary screw and reciprocating systems running across three states. When one goes down at 2am, a technician picks up the phone.

Overview

Air Compressor Systems

BM Industrial Solutions services every major compressor platform on the market: Gardner Denver, Sullair, Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser, Atlas Copco, CompAir/LeRoi, Quincy, Champion, Curtis and Saylor-Beall. We hold no factory dealership, so the recommendation you get answers to your application and nothing else.

Most of the calls we take turn out to be dryer problems, drain problems, filtration problems or piping problems that surface at the compressor. We diagnose the whole system, so the fix holds.

What we handle

  • Rotary screw service. Oil and separator changes, air/oil filters, coolers, bearings, airend inspection and rebuild, VSD drive troubleshooting.
  • Reciprocating service. Valve service, rings and gaskets, unloaders, pressure switches, belt drives and pump rebuilds.
  • Air treatment. Refrigerated and desiccant dryer service, coalescing and particulate filtration, condensate drains and oil-water separators.
  • Controls and monitoring. Pressure and load-hour troubleshooting, sequencing between multiple units, alarm and shutdown diagnosis.
  • System installation. Sizing, foundations, electrical coordination, receiver tanks and complete air distribution piping.
  • Emergency response. 24/7 breakdown coverage, including temporary air where production cannot wait for a repair.

Right-sized systems

Sized to the air your plant actually uses

An oversized compressor short-cycles, wastes energy and wears out early. An undersized one starves your tools and never unloads.

We measure actual demand before we quote anything: running pressure, pressure drop across the system, load and unload behaviour, and where your air is genuinely being consumed. Sometimes the answer is a smaller compressor and better piping. We will tell you when that is the case.

Whole-system diagnosis

We work back to what caused it

High discharge temperature, water in the lines, pressure that will not hold, a unit that trips on overload. These are symptoms with several possible causes. We work through the system methodically until the evidence points somewhere.

  • Water at the tool usually traces back to the dryer or a failed drain.
  • Pressure complaints at the far end of a plant usually come down to piping.
  • Repeat overload trips often trace to the airend, cooler or supply voltage.

Breakdowns do not respect business hours. Our emergency line runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You reach someone who can diagnose the problem and dispatch a technician.

Questions

About air compressor systems

How quickly can you get to a compressor that is down?

We run 24/7 emergency coverage across South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina. Response time depends on where you are and what the failure is. Call 843-401-9670 and we will give you a straight answer about arrival time.

Do you only work on certain brands?

No. We service Gardner Denver, Sullair, Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser, Atlas Copco, CompAir/LeRoi, Quincy, Champion, Curtis and Saylor-Beall, plus most other platforms you are likely to have. We are independent, so we are not steering you toward one manufacturer.

How often should a rotary screw compressor be serviced?

Interval depends on run hours, ambient conditions and the lubricant in use, but most units need attention at set hour intervals for oil, separators and filters, with a fuller inspection annually. Dusty or hot environments shorten that considerably. We set the interval from your actual run hours and adjust it as the unit tells us more.

Can you install a new system as well as repair the one we have?

Yes. Full installations including compressor, dryer, receiver, filtration and the distribution piping that connects it all. We handle the mechanical scope and coordinate with your electrician, or bring one in.

Is it worth repairing an older compressor?

Often, yes. A well-built reciprocating unit or an older rotary screw with a sound airend can be worth rebuilding. We will give you the honest comparison between repair cost, expected remaining life and the energy cost of continuing to run it.
